64. Henry HUNTER was born on 29 May 1809 in Speedwell, Claiborne, Tennessee. He served in the military in 1832. During the Sac and Fox War, Henry served as a private in the company commanded by CPT Wells, Illinios Mounted Volunteers. He died on 25 Jul 1847 in Athens, Henderson, Texas. Accidently shot on election day. According to family tradition he had the end of his nose shot off while in Moniteau County, Missouri. Not knowing whether it was on purpose or accidentaly he decided to move to Texas. He served in the military. During the Black Hawk War, Henry served as a private in the 1st Regiment, 3rd Brigade, Illinios Monuted Volunteers.

He was married to Martha MURRAY (daughter of Thomas MURRAY and Rachel DAVIS) on 29 Aug 1833 in , Cole, Missouri. Martha MURRAY was born on 5 Jun 1811 in Near Fincastle, Campbell, Tennessee. She died on 30 Aug 1890 in Weatherford, Parker, Texas. She was buried Dean Cemetery in Weatherford, Parker, Texas. Henry HUNTER and Martha MURRAY had the following children:

child318 v. Mary Jane HUNTER was born on 15 Feb 1841 in , Cole, Missouri. She died on 9 Sep 1843.
child319 vi. Thomas Jefferson HUNTER was born on 1 Mar 1843 in McGirk, Cole, Missouri. He served in the military between 1861 and 1864. Held the rank of Captain. He died on 16 Jul 1864 in , Monroe, Louisiana. Died of wounds recieved at the battle of Port Hudson.
